@BeLiKeDime Exactly 💯 it’s just a dribble move tied to the shot.. and it allows us to be creative. Without that, players are forced to learn peaks & quick stops if they wanna create 3s. They also implemented cancels for a reason, but no one will bite if the hop/go to shot isn’t a threat

I agree, this is why before the patch I said I hoped they would specifically nerf the learners and not every moving shot three. A simple step back/side step three should not be on the same logic as an off balance fadeaway three.

Someone post a clip of 3 stepbacks in the same game using harden or Luka’s ACTUAL animations… it’s almost impossible now even with legend badges and 99 3pt. That wasn’t the intended solution to the fade problem, hardly anyone uses hop jumpers but real shot creators know

Okay I meant useless for 3s so it’s basically middy magician now. Which is a badge I loved, but 3s off the dribble are REAL shots too that should have a place. You see Luka and harden hit multiple stepbacks game. I agree fades aren’t as realistic, and those should be hard to time

shifty shooter is completely ruined from patch 2.0.. I get that fades were broken, but we're just gonna remove hop jumper 3s too? all you will see now is set shot 3s. that will get stale real fast imo. I'm okay with a nerf to shifty, but it's a useless badge currently #NBA2K26
