Merry Christmas @nflnetwork style: cut to commercial instead of showing the Franco Harris commemoration highlight reel, the LITERAL REASON the game is on tonight. Gotta get those commercial $$$ tho! utter fail.

@gfredericks_ Winnie the Pooh has the North Pole. He used it to rescue piglet & now mostly uses it for limbo practice. The South Pole is a prop in those bad Jäegermeister commercials! The east pole is where electrons collect & the west pole is what Dorothy really used to defeat the witch! 😉

@HenryT those are laser train tracks showing the path of the reality train headed his way.

@gfredericks_ Oh, I think I know this one! If there’s a tree and the sun—while clinging to it, kept moving such that as the earth went round the tree, the sun stayed on the opposite side of the trunk, then I believe the squirrel would go round all three of them. Right?

@kimlehtinen @kelseyhightower Similar for me, but in practice "all" turns into "all that make testing hard"--which isn't always everything, but incrementally trends toward the same spot.
English

@logosity @kelseyhightower I tend to put all code that is interacting with external processes behind my own interfaces. This way my own code can always be unit tested, even if libraries/implementations change.
This requires more work, and is smth that works for me. It isn't for everyone.

@BradWarner @pearly_sinner …and I imagine you, so I don’t have to apologize. ;-)
English

@pearly_sinner The more I sink into it, the more I have to reluctantly admit that I may be the source of everything. Then I want to apologize profusely all the time.

@tirsen mebbe a sigmoid curve decline: Starts slow, then declines exponentially as problems compound, then the dregs live on for decades.
