In fact, in early incarnations of 2018, Laurie didn’t just die, she died well before the end. Then she died at the end of the film. Then she was stabbed and survived. And that’s because JLC enjoyed it, so don’t love people framing this as her looking down on horror.

Not sure why people are mad about this? She’s saying she wouldn’t have agreed to do a trilogy from the start - she was never obligated to do sequels. Laurie’s role kept increasing (she died in early drafts of Halloween 2018) as she enjoyed working with David Gordon Green.
