@AskCoachKev I love that. Community is everything. Having people who believe in you before you believe in yourself. The best.

@mariotomich I totally agree. I remember when I started I was so surprised by how many calories were in the foods I was eating. I almost started to cry when I realized the reality of granola!

@PreciousAnene1 I will correct a woman at a gym - especially if I think she’s going to hurt herself. It’s all in how you do it…I think people appreciate being told they have food on their face. I know I do. But I’ve never corrected a man…I don’t know ..that feels weird.

Are you team correct people’s form at the gym or team watch them continue a bad form?

@anymanfitness Similar issue for me-I’ve had a successful account on tik tok - 28k followers but views have dropped off a cliff since its latest update so I just started my X account a few days ago and you tube. Still going to keep posting on tik tok too but these algo changes can be brutal.

Soooo... if the whole point of the algo change was to clean up clickbait, AI slop, and people jacking other content, if you don't do any of those things, your reach should be the same, right? My reach is dismal. Again, don't care too much. I have an email list, I'm just fine. But I do think this algo change has gone way too far in the other direction. Jan/Mar/April were the best months I've ever had, reach wise. I was all jacked up. There was an obvious shift in the positive direction. Then, it got slashed by 75%. I'm too old and crotchety to pivot to TikTok or IG or something. I'll just stay here and ride it out. Whatever. I have plenty of clients (and an email list, like I said). But it's definitely a big change everyone is feeling right now. We can't all be Nick Shirley lol.

@FitasaMamaBear Absolutely. I find a lunch run or lunch hike is the best reset for me too.

Put in a short (3kms) lunch run today. Why? Because my mind goes insane sitting at a computer after a while and this clears it and sets me up for the second half. Go move.

4 strength training exercises that target legs, core, and biceps! Squats, lunges, sit ups, and Turkish get ups are functional training at its best. 45 seconds of work for each exercise or however long your furry companion cooperates. Rest 15 secs in between exercises. 3 rounds!

@longevityAC wall sits are massively underrated for over-40s. isometric quad work without joint stress is exactly what most knees need first. add slow eccentric step-downs once they hit the minute and they'll have better quads than 90% of their peers

For my over 40 friends who are just starting an exercise routine: 1st, it's never too late to start. 2nd, wall sits are a great leg and core exercise to begin your fitness journey. Once you can hold a wall sit with knees at 90 degrees for one minute, try one of these variations!

I am 50 years old and have never been able to do a pull up. Two nights ago at the gym I pulled myself up just a few inches but it's a start. I'm not ashamed to admit I got pretty emotional. When me and my lady joined a gym together three months ago I said I was going to be able to do a full one by six months. I have no doubt this will happen!

This one total body strength exercise hits just about everything! Hamstrings, Glutes, Back, Cores Biceps, Quads, Shoulders. 10-12 reps each side for 3 sets and you will feel the power of it! I love how this one works one leg at a time for even training and balance.

10k steps are great if you have the time. But a 30-minute incline walk is the efficient version with the same fat-loss effect, plus glute activation.
