FREDERICK DOUGLASS BRIDGE SHUT DOWN AFTER PERSON CLIMBS ON TOP NEAR NATIONALS PARK WASHINGTON, D.C. — Emergency crews temporarily shut down the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge after a person was reported on top of the structure near Nationals Park. MPD officers and DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene, where the individual was observed on top of the bridge, prompting a large public safety response. 🚨 As a precaution, traffic on the bridge was shut down while crews worked to safely resolve the situation.
