@look_under88 @Ccyellow7 Easy. I read the chapter and I don’t need to have my hand held through obvious visual story telling. Try it yourself sometime then you won't embarras yourself with demanding explanations that are already there.

#jinxmanhwa How can you claim to be a writer and a literature expert, yet you can't even understand a story like Jinx's and criticize it when you still don't understand it? We're on chapter 99 and you're still saying that Jaekyung had absolutely no character development and still doesn't care about others? Didn't we just see Jaekyung completely ignore his moment of glory as champion to rush to the hospital desperately to see Dan? If that's not character development, I don't know what is.

@look_under88 @Ccyellow7 Are you blind? Or do you also need help doing other every day stuff? He refused the belt, he didn't care about the win and didn't celebrate his comeback with his fans or the press. Not even for one second. He got booed for this. It literally in the text.

@Ccyellow7 "desperately to see Dan" - another way to fill the gap. Because jk doesn't have a character development big enough to SEE how desperate he is. This is you magnifying something that isn't there. And I did the same. We're forced to do it, since there's no storytelling

@Ccyellow7 Coming back up...'ignoring the moment of glory" should have been explained. With text and visual, explaining how and why he ignores. It's not explained. It forces us to fill in the gap.

@Ccyellow7 Well we didn't see that. We see he refused the belt and left the ring. (Here is the space where you fill it with your presumption that "he ignored the moment of glory"). Then we read that they got a call from the hospital. (And we see jk there next)

@Ccyellow7 So... storyline is hollow to say the least, because it makes us, the readers, fill it in with presumption. Pacing is also lacking. Other stories have more in depth character development. They actually put the text and visuals and let no room for mind-making from us

I dunno, maybe a lot more people would understand Jaekyung a bit more if they realized for a majority of the story, he’s putting on an act. He’s playing the role of the rich privileged asshole because in his mind that’s who he has to be to hide his past and now what we’re seeing and what we have been seeing since the beginning of season 2, is the personality he concocted crumbling down and he’s who he’s supposed to be. This side and personality didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s been there the whole time. #jinxmanhwa

Aaaah the angst 😭 I can’t stop thinking about how Jaekyung might believe his birthday is forever stained by the way he hurt Dan that day, how badly he treated him, and how he likely wanted to make amends somehow by giving Dan the special birthday he deserved. But thanks to Junmin and that disgusting perv, that day is ruined too, and now he might believe as well, that Dan’s special day will always be marked by the trauma of being stabbed just two days prior, spending his first birthday together in a hospital bed. Help.
