Jessica blocked me as soon as she replied yesterday, but I have to ask you, why do you accept those conditions? I'm not saying you should feel ashamed about it, but at some point, you have to be sick of turning a profit of millions while you eat cold food in your car. I feel safe assuming that no one *likes* doing that, but it's better than nothing, right? But why are those the options for people who make the wealthiest country in the world everything that it is? Why is there more pride in seeing how gruelingly you can live? This situation doesn't apply to my life, but it pisses me off that people I know are eating on $3 in their cars and are one increase away from homelessness, but people are convinced it's a $28 luxury spread from DoorDash because Kevin doesn't want us talking about his data center. Okay, great, now people have been lectured at length about their lunch habits, but that's a lot of energy that went exactly where he wanted it to go with the snap of his mouth. There *is* shame in that. I think you deserve a warm lunch, even if you unwittingly parrot for the system. Sue me 🙂

@FiredUpCoug The only problem with your plan is waste. It takes careful planning and discipline to not let this food go bad, and if that happens, you are behind cheap fast food. So maybe invest in a freezer? Though most produce doesn't freeze.

Spend another $13 on one more loaf of bread and one more package of turkey, and now you’ve got 16 sandwiches. That comes out to $3.37 per sandwich, using some of the bougiest grocery-store sandwich ingredients available. Swap the cheese for Sargento and the mayo for Hellmann’s, and you’re down to just over $2 per sandwich.

On a piece of salmon, in a Reykjavik restaurant, on a Tuesday in 2014, it rebooted. The metaphor, in the literal medical sense, is almost accurate. The brain is approximately 60% fat. The fat it prefers, structurally, is the long-chain omega-3 found in oily fish. The fjord was full of it. Her bloodstream, prior to that dinner, had been running on flax. The system came back online with the salmon. She has not gone back.
