Companies are ghosting, lowballing, or flat-out rejecting overqualified candidates.
Hiring rates have crashed to 3.3 percent—the lowest since 2013 (outside of pandemic chaos).
1.9 million Americans are stuck on unemployment benefits, a six-year high (excluding COVID spikes).
Over 22 percent of unemployed workers have been jobless for six months or more.
Recent grads? Even worse.
Their unemployment rate is 5.3 percent, way above the national average.
