@zxidtxt Men read less. Men traditionally don't talk about feelings and a lot of fanfics have to do with ships and feelings. Talking about feelings extends to the media we consume and how it impacts us so less men are sharing fanfics via word of mouth to other male friends.

@ggmorrow Regardless of the fantastical elements they still come to understand the people they are changing and speak with them before stealing their heart. The metaverse helped but THEY did it, which is the important part. Your point about the metaverse could be made for a lot of fiction
