Morning all, Ryan remembers everything and I mean everything, over 20 years ago i brought a old volvo estate it had a cassette player in it, so we went off to the car boot to buy cassettes, there was some song on there that Ryan really liked, anyway last night he calls me into his room and hes got alexa playing that exact same song, Johnny Reggae by the piglets, Ryan would of been 6 or 7 at the time, he can even tell me where we brought it where the carboot was, one time im going through a old coat it has a dvd receipt in it from years ago, I tell Ryan the name of the dvd he then tells me the shop we brought it from and what the day and date was , I check the receipt and he was of course correct I could tell you stories about how amazing he is all day long , because he is, have a great day everyone.

Two years.
This time last week, on Saturday morning, you woke up in your bedroom, were carried downstairs, ate very little breakfast and went back to sleep on the sofa. We knew something had changed. You slept for hours.

As you all know I started on Good Friday to make some white chocolate carrot cake mice and chocolate mousse filled chocolate flower pots with “ carrots” 🥕

My youngest son carl drives, he offered to take Ryan for a drive, his exact words after lunche were "not far Ryan just around the town" well we hit one lot of roadworks, and Ryan directed Carl around the roadworks which meant going in the opposite direction 3 times, 8 miles and 30 minutes later we are nowhere near town, Carl trying to work out how he fell for it 3 times, and Ryan giggling away, we then stopped for milkshakes, also nowhere near town lol.

I hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday.
Just a quiet day. We've pretty much consolidated the entire house. I hadn't had time to spend time organizing and cleaning for the past two years. It looks nice. After screaming, I think Rebecca would approve. My brother and sister leave Tuesday then it's back to being alone. I don't know when I'll see anyone again. There's a lot going on in our family. Days- I'm okay. It's as soon as I climb into bed the sadness and depression creep in. I hate it.💙😓

So many of you have seen the video of Maya up on that stage in Tumbler Ridge, singing Livin' on a Prayer by @jonbonjovi back in 2025… but what you didn’t see were the hours behind it.
The car rides with the song on repeat.
The little “studio sessions” at home.
Her cleaning her room, singing at the top of her lungs like she was already on stage.
That’s who Maya is.
Motivated. Determined. And, if we’re being honest… a little stubborn in the best way. The kind of girl you can always count on, the kind of girl who becomes your best friend without even trying. Funny, caring, empathetic… with a warrior’s heart and a future that was always meant to be something special.
That song means something different to us now.
More than it ever did before.
Because with every prayer, every bit of love sent her way… she keeps fighting. She keeps getting stronger. Every single day.

My first crochet of the Easter break. This will work well for pottering in the garden and save me having to wear a wig all the time. It’s also a soft summer colour - I am going to make loads of them in different colours.

I’ve been too unwell to get into my greenhouse lately. I knew my seedlings were dying, which just added to the anxiety, so I stayed away for months.
Today I finally bit the bullet and I’m so glad to be back in my happy place, even if it means facing dead plants 🌱
