I don’t tell people when I’m falling apart I just disappear in smaller ways. Reply slower. Laugh softer. Stay a little further away from anything that might ask me what’s wrong. Because I wouldn’t know how to answer without unraveling completely. So I keep it contained like a quiet spill no one notices until it’s already soaked through everything. And the truth is… I’m not strong for holding it in I’m just scared that if I let it out, no one will stay long enough to help me put it back together.
