A team of researchers including MCRI's Developmental Imaging Team: Dr Garath Ball, Dr Chris Adamson & Dr. Richard Beare have created a series of brain charts spanning our entire life – from 15 wks to 100-yrs old, showing our brains rapidly expand in early life & shrink as we age.

@EuanMccaughey @Dr_AE_McGovern The rule that if you had an ECF you have to apply at EL2 effectively means you are not competitive until 4 years after the end of the ECF as you are up against people with up to 10 years experience. It’s needs looking at IMO

@Dr_AE_McGovern I got "great application, however the publication numbers (30) and number as first or senior author (22) are far below what is expected of an EL2". And here was me, 5 years post PhD, thinking it was all assessed relative to opportunity and not an absolute number? Silly me #nhmrc
