It’s the capitalists’ holiday — the time of year when “Santa” reinforces wealthy children in their “goodness” over poor kids.

The reading of the names of the deceased by CO Springs police chief using correct pronouns and names is heartening & respectful. AND, it’s still not enough for trans & nonbinary ppl when you’re announcing their deaths. Be more respectful in life than in death.

Thanks for the "thoughts and prayers" but that does nothing to offset the damage that you directly did to incite these kinds of attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. You spreading tropes and insults contributed to the hatred for us. There's blood on your hands. Just resign.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, and I honor the lives of transgender lives lost to violence. Last night in Colorado Springs, 5 people were killed and 18 injured at an LGBTQ club. Remember that queer people are bringing this reality of violence to your holiday dinners.
