Mahonia is a strange plant. A bit of a rebel. It throws out vivid yellow blooms in late Winter and berries in Spring and early Summer. Make room in your garden, if you can for this architecturally interesting plant. It will reward you

The achingly beautiful shopfront of Daly’s Bakery, Sarsfield Street, #Limerick. Long closed. The Daly family were very well-known. Ned Daly (1891-1916) was commandant of Dublin’s 1st Battalion of the Irish Volunteers during the 1916 Rising. He executed in the aftermath.
