你不能只有在贏球的時候才愛棒球，也不能只有在生病的時候才變台灣人。

告別式時，林義雄母親的棺木旁放著亮均、亭均的棺木。 田孟淑在受訪時回憶，林義雄當時在蓋上棺木後，拿起毛筆趴在雙胞胎女兒的棺木上寫著「乖、漂亮」，在母親的棺木上寫著「親愛的母親，我們要您死得有價值」。他披麻戴孝在三個棺木間走來走去，人間地獄就是如此了。 我一直記得台灣演藝這段訪問。

同理心與公民素養一樣，是格局的不同，不是死讀書就有用。 有同理心的人就有能力助他人走出深淵，沒有同理心的人也有能力將人推入深淵。 有沒有同理心對於個人利益或許沒有直接的影響，但我相信，當社會多數人都是利他主義時，整個社會就會共榮發展，當這個社會只剩下利己之人，最後就會一起毀滅。

Lin Yu-Ting is a victim of the sudden and arbitrary decision by the IBA. Up to now, the IBA has not provided any evidence.
