What makes this special isn't just that you get so much for $15. It's the fact that none of it is for commercial gain.
NANA booked the ballroom, paid for the full-course meal, prepared multiple gifts, and organised everything out of her own pocket.
When something comes from genuine sincerity, you don't have to pay extra for a hug, a hi-touch, an autograph, a selfie, a photocard, a mini talk, or a meal.
You don't have to compete for a moment of an artist's attention, hoping they'll notice your comment, like your post, or repost your story.
Because she COMES TO YOU giving her love, appreciation, and attention freely, every single day. She reads your messages, likes your post, watch your stories blah blah.
Perhaps that's why this feels so refreshing but at the same time, shouldn’t it be pure and simple like this?
When human connection is constantly monetised, it's easy for people to lose sight of what really matters.
Attention becomes a currency. Validation becomes something to chase. Fans begin competing for recognition, and genuine appreciation can slowly degrades to obsession, entitlement, jealousy, and negativity.
The entertainment industry didn't create all of that, but it certainly knows how to profit from it!
Supporting NANA reminds me that it doesn't have to be that way. Loving an artist/singer/actor should be easy and an act of pure appreciation.
And somehow, even your $20 ticket fee ends up helping a charity too.
