🎨 Springtime makes us think of Bob Ross. Here is "Mountain Waterfall" by Bob Ross (1984). Set in Alaska, it features his favorite landscape subject, Mt McKinley. This is one of several versions of "Mountain Waterfall" that Ross painted.

On this date in 1984, the New Orleans World's Fair opened, running through November. Set downtown along the Mississippi River, the fair was plagued by poor attendance and financial problems, but helped to revitalize the waterfront and Warehouse District.

In May 1781, Spanish forces led by Bernardo de Galvez defeated the British at Pensacola, gaining control of the Gulf coast and Fla. peninsula. It was one of the few battles of the American Revolution outside the 13 colonies. Part of LPB's celebration of America250 #LPB
