There are times where my internal monologue sounds like Professor Dementor from Kim Possible. I'll go from thinking in lowercase letters to screaming all-caps in .02 seconds and it's pure chaos.

I have a question for self-published authors. I'm thinking about starting to publish some of my work, and I'd like to hear about some of your experiences. I know it's a lot of work. In the end, was it worth it?

Can anyone in the #WritingCommunity give me tips on how to get through writing burnout? I haven't been able to write since March and I can't take it anymore.

Me: I need to give myself a few days to recover from all the work I had to complete for school. Also me: *has a to-do list longer than I am tall* ...I don't think I can squeeze it in right now...

Has anyone out in the #WritingCommunity put out a short story collection? I'm thinking about doing that and want to know from someone if it's worth my time.

Does anyone else go through their past writing and go, "Wait, when did I write that?" I just found an eleven-page short story I wrote in 2021 that honestly was amazing, but I have no recollection of writing it. Happy surprises, I guess.🤷‍♀️

as of last night, i've been accepted into seton hall university's m.a. in english program for the fall 2023 academic year. i cried more than i do when i watch little women (2019) but for entirely different reasons.

Me: I have to finish the first draft of my thesis before I go back and make the big changes to the story. Also me: I have to go back and make the big changes now, otherwise my characters won't forgive each other by the end of the book! Literally my thought process today.

Me: I'm an adult. I do adulting things, like work full-time, go to school full-time, and have a ✨bedtime✨ Also me: I was wrestling my adult brother (because that's how we get out our inner aggression) and accidentally kicked him in the head. That's how I sprained my toe.

Scratch 50. Just hit 60k. I have no words at this point.

The "romantic" part of my "romantic thriller" manuscript is in full swing and I'm living for it.

Does anyone else love writing just because you get to see the numbers in the word count go up? If this tweet doesn't make sense, forgive me. I'm half-asleep.

We had a snow day, and I wrote 1,623 words in my thesis today. I am very happy. And it's also way past my bedtime. Oh well.
