@N If you start the project you get to dictate all the rules, right? Right? 😅

Everyone should read the Sequoia Capital article about SBF. There is no better exemplar of the vacuous speculative excesses built around misguided cults of personality and completely detached from economic reality than this piece. It is perfect.

@rich_kilmer Or developer.apple.com/library/archiv… on a NeXT machine!
English

@lrz They could run it on OS/2 using DSOM. I’m sure it would be awesome.
English

@mandel_macaque I think it could be even funnier than HBO’s Silicon Valley.
English

@fxn I would go further down the road and use ObjC developer.apple.com/library/archiv…
English

@rich_kilmer Ah yes the Concept2 is quite noisy but I don’t mind it :-) It’s indeed a great workout, took me time to learn the movement tho. I currently mostly use it for recovery between hard runs so I never do more than 10000 meters :-)

@lrz I’ve used the water rowers at Orange Theory for 3 years. That’s why I went with Ergatta. It’s a great feel and quiet. The gamified interface is perfect for me. I’m very numbers driven. Rowing is great exercise.
English

Got an @ergatta water rower. I love the interface on it! Decided to go for a 23000 meter race. Whew. At 14000 meters got a Charlie horse (see power drop). Had to get off and stretch then got on to finish! I’ll take last place in a finished 23000 meter row any day.

English

@drbrain Yeah I was already thinking about configuring it so that it behaves like Apple’s internal bug tracker (radar), which I’m used to :)
English

@lrz I think the danger of JIRA is it is too configurable so people can set it up to be a nightmare factory, then do it
English

@lrz I'd put it in the same category as wordpress. Out of the box it's actually not that bad, but it gets a terrible reputation because it gives you enough freedom to fill it with complexity and degrade its performance.
English

@fxn Thanks for the pointer! I have to do some project management this week (in Jira, wish me luck) this might help!
English

@lrz It was a great positive surprise to watch this video from a Kanban advocate at Microsoft. That looks like the mature, no bullshit working environment I like.

I am not inside Twitter, so I'll make this comment with all caution of someone without 1st hand information. But if what we externally are seeing has some truth in it, the working culture you're going to live with does not seem very attractive.
