@Teranova2112 Reports from Aus, swimming pool broken, nasty stuff on beach, organizer owes $500,000. If tickets were 50% less & featured guest was anyone but Meghan, it’s surprising they sold any tickets.

BREAKING NEWS TMZ is now reporting that Prince Harry will be flying solo to Australia since Meghan Markle's weekend retreat only had 8 buyers for the 300 available so her part of the trip has been cancelled. And that she's looking forward to doing "mommy stuff" with the kids.

@Charley2021 @AmandaAchtman @NotaliaMateo CPR at 85 has 100% chance of failure. You can ask for resuscitation short of cpr. That’s iv fluids, support breathing etc. CPR will break all her ribs, I know from doing cpr as a nurse, nasty crunching sound & feels first compression.

@AmandaAchtman @NotaliaMateo My 85 yo mother broke her hip. They actually fixed it and no euthanasia offered, but one doctor in the rehab unit suggested that she put a DNR on her chart. She was appalled and rejected the suggestion outright. They really do just want the elderly to die.

Euthanasia is routinely offered to Canadian seniors unsolicited. Muriel says she was offered MAID: •By her family doctor •By a specialist •By a funeral home  “This is almost being advertised and promoted,” she told me. How do you think this makes seniors feel?

@AmandaAchtman I am over 70, have multiple medical disorders, take opiod pain medication daily, have done for years. I’m in bed 23 hours a day. No doctor has offered MAID to me. I live in Ontario. The only thing I’ve been offered is long term care home.

The wound nurse sent me home with supplies including stoma powder and some more absorbent dressings. They won’t stop the leaking but hopefully will help my poor mangled skin heal. 🙏

@annamaria1word Change your appliance 1 day before it leaked the last time. If it lasted 4 days, change on day 3. This will prevent leakage, skin damage. Attempting to keep the appliance on as long as possible leads to leaks. Changing when it’s not leaking allows you to be organized & calm.

@LlJuju2022 Midwife here. In Canada, we don’t shave women pre c-section. I’ve delivered babies in England & Canada, none of the women were shaved. The hair isn’t an issue.

I just read a blog piece 'As a gynaecologist, does it bother you if a patient hasn't shaved her pubic hair?' and now I want to just blow shit up. Have we not learnt anything from the Epstein Files. I tell you what should be bothersome, any gyno who even mentions pubic hair.

We settled for a lot less back then. We didn’t buy homes until much later in our lives. On one income. We crammed larger families into smaller homes with one bathroom. We only owned one car and people didn’t make the wages they do now. Stop this entitled whining bullshit.
Bitcoin Teddy@Bitcoin_Teddy

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

@bluebook2109 More important, make sure that the BP cuff is the right size. Many elderly have very thin arms.

Osler’s Maneuver 👇👇 In some elderly patients, BP looks very high but is false called Pseudohypertension. Because - Arteries become stiff due to Monckeberg’s medial calcific sclerosis, so the BP cuff can’t compress them. How to test this - Inflate BP cuff → feel radial artery If artery still felt → Positive Osler’s sign Which means - BP reading is falsely high, not true hypertension.
Dr.Dairies@bluebook2109

HYPERTENSIVE URGENCY vs EMERGENCY 👇👇 Hypertensive Urgency - When BP ≥180/120 mmHg But No organ damage The patient may be stable ( headache, anxiety only ) Treatment - With oral drugs, slow BP reduction. Hypertensive Emergency - When BP ≥180/120 mmHg and Organ damage present Brain - stroke, confusion Heart - MI, heart failure Kidney - AKI Eyes - retinopathy Treatment - Immediately with IV drugs in ICU

@JasonS1269 It helps if you put a heating pad on your arm. Low BP doesn’t stop blood flow. Drink something warm, relax. What interferes with blood draws is being anxious, hyperventilating. I’ve done hundreds of blood draws, some with very low BP post severe trauma, car accident etc.

The nurse can't get blood out of my arm and my BP is still low. She said I'm not drinking enough. I pointed to the 2 litres with electrolytes I've already had since 3am. She looked mystified so I gave her a brief summary of LC and why. She's coming back tomorrow to try again.
