Alabama Spring Game Thoughts: -More upside at QB in the pass game than past 3 years. -WR room Top 10 in country, maybe Top 5. Really like the size of Derek Meadows and Cederian Morgan. -Run game still a concern (especially RB pass pro) -OL can only get better but how much? -DT Steve Bolo Mboumoua flashed. -5-star true frosh EDGE Xavier Griffin going to be a good one. -LB depth could be a concern. Do like their top 3-4 guys there though. -Secondary loaded. -Projected Record: 9-3

@HarperNation24 @MichaelRee66357 @g000b33zyyy Collin also wasn’t playing in Nate Oats offense/spacing and was a freshman. He was a better shooter than Philon as a freshman. Baron has better feel and instincts but Sexton was a much better athlete. Neck and neck for me.

@joecorona_real I completely agree that we will be much better defensively and rebounding (even tho Biz has improved). I do worry about Philon being our only real ball handler/someone who can win off the bounce. Allen can do it some, and Trelly can in pinches- but it’s a real concern now.

Hate it if it’s true for Bizz. He is one of ours, and he is worthy of support. With that being said, here is what I guess going forward. 1. Defensive numbers will take a jump. 2. Offensive numbers may wane a bit till guys figure out the void. 3. Rebounding will go up.

@JoylessFox @DGiddensBurner Past 3 years- S16, F4 & E8. That’s better than Duke, Kansas, UNC, Kentucky & Zona in the same timespan. F4 being the expectation every year is crazy because the blue bloods can’t even do that. Be in the mix every year, compete for SEC and make 2nd weekend and see what happens.

Do y’all know that Dybantsa, in all likelihood, is getting paid close to or more than our starting lineup of Labaron/Holloway/Wrightsell/Allen/Sherrell? It would be great to have more money, and Oats is probably owed more than he has to work with, but I think if he did get more funds y’all would be surprised to see how he uses them. I’d expect to be more depth-oriented than top heavy (valuation-wise), given how he operates now.

@AcuffMUSE The bad thing is I actually think Pope has done a decent coaching job with a mediocre roster but the problem is he built the roster. He’s had some bad injury luck too.

@AcuffMUSE Oats gets at least an A- if Cal does. A&M and Vandy had good years but A+ is a little much IMO. Bump Barnes to the B range and give Golden an A+. I agree from Moser down.

@DGiddensBurner And I honestly think doing it throughout games could help, especially to speed up teams that try to play really slow against us and maybe try and create a TO and transition offense- but we don’t- until it’s the end of half and you gamble and give the other team free points.

It must be backed analytically. Something to do with trapping and forcing a quicker shot so Alabama can get one more possession. Idk, I hate it.
