Being profitable in sim trading and being profitable in real trading are two very different things. A good sim trader can likely succeed in live markets. But a good live trader doesn't always pass a sim evaluation. Why? Because sim trading adds a layer that live trading doesn't: rules. Drawdown limits, daily loss caps, consistency targets. These force discipline that most live traders never had to develop. If you're new to trading and still finding your style, trading under rules is the best preparation for real markets. Not because it's easier. Because it's harder in the right ways. Paper trading won't do this for you. There's no psychological cost to a bad trade on paper. No consequence. No pressure. So you never build the execution discipline that actually matters. Sim trading under evaluation rules gives you that pressure. You feel the loss. You think twice before sizing up. @BemFunding BEM Classic is the best. However, the 2-business-day waiting period after Phase 2 feels too long, especially since the meeting is scheduled after that and extends the process by another 1–2 days. I think the meeting should be included within the waiting period.
