A landmark attained in the wrong direction is a landmine. We're walking a dangerous path. 4 months spent outside the classroom for students meant to be in school because the school @lautechofficial and State @oyostategovt won't do the needful is shameful at best. @seyimakinde

Day 115 of the strike by medical lecturers. @lautechofficial seems to think that students should be satisfied with no promise of when academic activities will resume. @oyostategovt and @seyimakinde, how long will these students have to wait? @fikayobenson01 @enodamade @seboiwoh1

I spoke to a student yesterday and he told me that they (LAUTECH medical students) are already making peace with the fact that resumption may not be till January 2026, by which time it will be at least 5 months of strike (for some, more). Can't even say hw I feel😢 @seyimakinde

113 days, nearly 4 months since LAUTECH medical students last had any academic activity. It is obvious that Ibadan has to intervene in this quagmire. @oyostategovt and @seyimakinde, pls do something since it's abundantly clear @lautechofficial has chosen to b unconcerned

Actual 109 days of no education, not even a promised date of resumption. It has pleased @lautechofficial and @oyostategovt to keep medical students out for this long. Do not act surprised that medical doctors leave Nigeria like they do, the seed was sown long ago, like this.

Day 108 of strike by medical lecturers in LAUTECH, @lautechofficial and @oyostategovt are playing the ostrich while medical education in the Uni & state goes up in flames. Pls help appeal to the authorities. Stop toying with the lives of med students @seyimakinde @channelstv

107 days out of school. LAUTECH students don't yet know when they'll resume. @lautechofficial remains adamant, and the medical lecturers maintain they won't resume till they are paid. The @oyostategovt is complicit for its continued silence. @seyimakinde do something sir!🤲

Imagine the Dean of Student Affairs calling medical students selfish. Someone who is meant to fight for our rights is calling us selfish because we protested, saying we want to resume. We've been silent for too long and our silence has been seen as weakness but not anymore.

I am scared for myself. How will I get back to being interested in medicine after everything i have engaged in during these period. The harm this cause is beyond now, our leaders and government need to do better.

76DAYS AND COUNTING! LAUTECH medical students are still out of school. We have been deprived of formal education for 3 months now. Our future is on hold. Other students in other departments are making progress, but we have been left stranded! Save us! @seyimakinde

To fully sort out the issue with LAUTECH, the LAUTECH medical school must be settled. @seyimakinde, LAUTECH medical lecturers should be paid their due in full. They are few, overworked and short-paid. @oyostategovt, this is your medical school, let students not waste at home.
