@N4AKV_@CarstenGrn1 I use the 847 like this, always, with the internal amplifier turned off and using the external Aicon 25w preamplifier, with my 14-element LFA antenna crossed in right polarity, and the difference in listening is terrible, especially in low passes.
@CarstenGrn1 Alternatively, I suppose I could just turn off the internal preamp in my 847 and use a standard external preamp with whatever gain it has. Do you think I'd experience any benefit from this using it portable on extremely low passes or with questionable horizons?
The #ROCKYMTNROVE@KI0KBWC7WB will end with two daylight passes in DM69 August 1st/2nd UTC. See hams.at for schedule. Next two IO-117 passes are in DM67/68 this evening.
@KI0KBWC7WB DM58 Pass #1: site much better than anticipated. 72 Qs in log and uploaded. I forgot how busy a weekend pass can be at times. All stations copied were digipeated successfully although it took a while sometimes 🤪 Hoping for clear skies for pass #2.
@FG8OJ that he has, cannot make fun of this way and publish it on top of that on the X networks (Twitter), that's why I want to clarify this, so that you know what really happened, and that this man has a little more ethics with his colleagues, the end.
@FG8OJ VK/ZL of the program, as I had left it, of course I had not changed it, an oversight common, it has happened to me several times, but never what happened to me yesterday, that this Mr. FG8Oj answers me with the acronym LOL, I think that a person with the radio "experience"
@FG8OJ it takes about 30 minutes, no one leaves, then I leave my station to do other activities, I leave everything on automatic and when it arrives at The USA's footprint returned, that's what I did yesterday, I made 1 call, when I was already in the Caribbean, and it appears on the CQ
@FG8OJ 'm going to tell you, why my question regarding LOL, yesterday afternoon at the GC pass at 17 UTC which for us starts at 204 degrees, I always call CQ VK/ZL in the CQ window, they are the First 15 minutes of the pass, then it leaves the station and until it reaches the USA or EU
IO-117 pass @ 2025Z on 7-04-24. Started off great, very disciplined South American stations + early US East coast stations. Then came the Goat Rodeo: 3x13 colonnies sat stations, many QRO stations, VP5/AA5UK with skeds, and the infamous EU wall = big mess. Gave up early!
No IO-117 operation tonight. We are getting rain, thunder and lightning. Remnants from the outer bands from Beryl. To those blind calling me on an earlier pass which I was not on, please stop!
@AA5UK Hello Adrian, I think you are leaving on the 5th, you will leave if the weather cooperates with you at IO 117 tomorrow 4/7/24, I hope to be able to work for you, greetings Ernesto LU4DPO GF02kq

Hello @k5em, it could be that your program, Pass Matcher, is having a problem, since it gave me an error when I opened it a few weeks ago, thank you very much 73 Ernesto LU4DPO.
