If you're hungry, scared or stressed, you can't focus on history, learning, appriciate art; You can't live a life of joyous freedom. You're a subject, an organic ATM machine for your Overlord. Buy #Bitcoin #AbolishOverlords

Cut my stream and storm chase short today because I'm tried of dealing with the BS. Storm chasing is quickly becoming not fun with the amount of idiots on the road. Got some things to think about when I get home.

@Dale21M @JimJones1913 I believe self-custody is the backbone to Bitcoin soverneignty. As the world adopt Bitcoin, unless inheritance is solved and risk of loss is mitigated, ETFs will eventually overtake self-custody. This should IMO be the single most important subject in BTC, not Quantum, not spam

One thing that still bothers me about most Bitcoin steel backups: A single plate = total wallet compromise. If someone finds it, photographs it, copies it, or accidentally finds it… game over forever. That feels like a major security hole we still haven’t solved properly. 1/5

@lucastos @JM_speakss Each signing device should have a PIN. That’s true with single sig as well. If you think it’s too complicated for your family, maybe just hold an ETF. Self-custody isn’t for everyone.

My 36 year old best friend told me I’m dumb for storing my seed phrase on paper. He said I should be memorizing it. I told him that paper is still undefeated because your brain is one bad concussion, stressful year, or 3 glasses of wine away from nuking your entire net worth. What’s the best way to store your seed phrase?

@rleder @JM_speakss Im not even a fan of the Trezor SLIP-39 Split-Seed Option (similar to multisig) . You really need your heirs fully understand the process. This can be a big hurdle and risk.

@rleder @JM_speakss youre putting way too much faith in people who don't know or understand Bitcoin/ Wallets/ Mutli-sig like you or I. Depending on who you have as an heir, I hope youre not assuming they 'will just get it, because I do'... Thats my main issue with Multi sig vs. Single Wallet

Multi-Sig offerings from @unchained and @SparrowWallet should only be offered with a required low cost inheritance protocol. If the customer refuses to create inheritance protocol, Unchained and Sparrow should deny their services. Inheritance systems should be come a standard.

@rleder @JM_speakss 5. Mutli-Sig is ideal for multiple parties, like business or the like, but a single family household where one spouse is a bitcoin enthusist and the other is clueless... multi-sig's complexity IS the point of failure..

Actually, setting up a 2-of-3 multisig with a setup like Sparrow and a few ColdCards is very simple. There is almost nothing to figure out. Leave one key at home, put one in a safe deposit box, and leave a third with your accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor. Any two can sign a transaction. The point is that you can’t be successfully wrench attacked, and there is no single point of failure.

@rleder @JM_speakss 4. I when weighing the risks of failure due to comlications of multisig recovery post death for heir, vs a secure heavy safe in home, with security cameras one may deduce the simple setup is actually less risky by odds...
