Jo Shaw died yesterday after her ex Ryan Kelly forced his way into her Bristol house & killed her. She had made repeated domestic abuse reports to Avon & Somerset Police, yet he was still roaming free. Women are told to report violence. Jo did.

It’s always the people who never had to struggle or carry everything alone telling you how to live. Bought property when it was cheap, had help getting started, never felt the pressure of doing it all on one income. Then they throw out “just budget better” like it’s some magic fix. Budget what exactly? By the time rent, bills, food and transport are covered, there’s barely anything left to manage. Two weeks after payday and it’s already tight. That’s not poor choices, that’s the reality most people are living in now.
