Roblox's DMCA agents wrongly claim ownership over Valkyrie UGC items that bear no resemblance to Roblox's brand. Valks are 1000-year-old Norse mythology concepts that belong to no gaming company. This DMCA overreach stifles creativity and misuses the process. @lucidsugc

@yourius I do hope they make PBR its own section or make it seem really special do its worth it for UGC creators to make PBR items I persomally am going to try to do a series or two using PBR and see if the early hype can become profitable

@lucidsugc I did a test yesterday before the update was put on hold and literally nothing PBR related shows on the catalog Only in an experience that has the right lighting setting it’d be noticable (like PBR layered clothing) but that’s not the place where players buy the items ofc

PBR accessories are cool and all but we really need better thumbnails for them For normal players they are currently barely noticeable at all which does not do the items justice

@Roblox I understand perhaps deleting items because they infringe on your IP. That’s somewhat understandable, even if I don’t agree with the decision. But why have I appealed the same item twice, and it gets deleted a third time? This is actually absurd. Fix your moderation.

@loveanwgel do you actually make back the 750 + 1500 upload fee for every one of these hairs? i genuinely wonder how profitable this is, making like 50 recolors per hair and spending so much to upload them

@loveanwgel because of the roblox algorithm, random items will be chosen to be featured and will get tons of sales in a day. once i had an item that after 2 months got randomly featured and sold a thousand times in a day. it’s still gery profitable and sustainable.

@loveanwgel be entirely fair the name i made for myself is limited inspired items. if you check out my catalog you’ll see all the dominuses/valkyries/domino crowns/star crowns/void stars. that’s what gets sales and keeps the money flowing, so that’s what i do

Xander should absolutely be fired from UGC Moderation. Deleting a star crown in November 2024 is so overdue. Roblox themself have said if an item is somewhat original and not stolen 1:1 from their IP, the item is okay. Not to mention how many star crowns are on the market.

@RealCV10K @Roblox yeah i knew from the start that assets labeled spam were considered limited copies; things is the shit that got deleted have existing onsale recolors, and are also ideas that have been done many times. some even almost 1:1 to the limited their copying.

@lucidsugc @Roblox We got a straight answer. Its labelled SPAM if they think you copied part or all an existing ROBLOX item. As part of a 2-step punishment process, they also hit one of your unrelated good sellers for spam. Downside is reinstated good seller gets kicked off algorithm forever

Roblox moderation is genuinely out of hand. Using their AI to falsely delete items, labeling the removal as “spam”, then proceeding to not justify the deletion. I have experienced this issue since public UGC released. @Roblox Fix your moderation.
