or maybe it’s because i kin jax so much and i can completely understand why he acts the way he does but overall like if you’ve been hurt before AND lost friends in the way abstraction works it’s very hard to trust again and act normal again. trauma like that can alter the way—

because it’s an accurate depiction of deep rooted anxiety and pattern recognition. while the other members of the circus are actually trustworthy for the most part it’s not enough to make trauma disappear just like that
