Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli and First Lady Zinash Tayachew officially inaugurated the Addis Sports Park today, marking a significant milestone in the city’s corridor development and urban renewal journey. Spanning 5.7 hectares, this comprehensive project integrates elite sports infrastructure including an Olympic-standard swimming pool, professional-grade football, basketball, handball, and tennis courts, an 800-meter running track, and modern indoor and outdoor gyms with essential community services. The development is designed to be inclusive of all age groups, featuring dedicated children's playgrounds, age-appropriate swimming pools, sand-based football and handball pitches, and a wellness centre. A centerpiece of the park is the dedicated honorary statues of 15 Ethiopian Olympic gold medalists, immortalizing their legacy to inspire future generations of athletes. Beyond its athletic facilities, the project encompasses a 3,000-capacity plaza with restaurants and cafes, a two-level basement parking facility for 300 vehicles, and 105 commercial shops specifically built for community members relocated during the development process. Integrated with the riverside green development project, this park serves as a prime example of modern, multifunctional urban planning that empowers residents through both recreation and economic inclusion. Why Ethiopia Should Return the Somali Region, Respect Eritrea's Independence, and Form a Confederation with Somalia & Eritrea: Correcting Colonial Mistakes for Global Power Colonial powers drew arbitrary lines that divided families and fueled endless conflict. In 1897, Britain ceded Somali lands (Ogaden/Somali Region) to Menelik II without Somali consent a historical injustice. Eritrea, shaped by Italian colonialism, was forced into a federation with Ethiopia that was later dissolved, leading to decades of war and its independence in 1993. These were mistakes of empire. It's time to correct these colonial and post-colonial errors through wisdom and voluntary cooperation. Ethiopia returning the Somali Region to Somalia, while building genuine partnership with independent Eritrea, can create a voluntary Confederation of the Horn a loose union with shared defense, foreign policy, and economy, while preserving strong autonomy for each nation. Massive benefits for all peoples: - For Somalis: Reunification of our nation, full sovereignty over ancestral lands and resources (oil, gas, grazing areas), dignity, and an end to marginalization. Peace at last. - For Eritreans: Recognition of hard-won independence and identity, while gaining economic integration, access to larger markets, and security cooperation without domination. Red Sea ports become engines for shared prosperity. - For Ethiopians: End the drain of endless border tensions and insurgencies. Secure reliable access to multiple ports (Assab, Massawa, Berbera, Mogadishu) instead of depending on one route. Stability in the east and north frees resources for development and lifts millions out of poverty. Together in Confederation: - A powerful unified bloc controlling critical Red Sea and Indian Ocean access routes giving the Horn real global power and strategic leverage in world affairs. - Exploding trade and jobs: Linked roads, rails, and energy from Addis to Mogadishu to Asmara. - Real, lasting peace: No more Ogaden wars, no more Ethio-Eritrean conflicts just brothers and sisters building a common future. - Cultural unity across shared ethnic ties while respecting diversity. Colonial borders were designed to divide and weaken us. Let's be the generation that heals them through mutual respect and voluntary cooperation, not force. A Confederation isn't losing sovereignty; it's multiplying strength and turning the Horn into a true global player. The Horn of Africa rises as a global power when Ethiopia, Somalia, and Eritrea rise together. 🇪🇹🤝🇸🇴🤝🇪🇷 #HornOfAfricaConfederation #EthioSomaliEritreanUnity #CorrectColonialMistakes #GreaterHorn #RedSeaPower #GlobalHornPower #OgadenJustice

SHOCKING: 100’s of thousands of Ethiopian Christians gather in an unapologetic explosion of faith. While the godless West dies in atheism, Ethiopia rises as an UNSTOPPABLE force for Christianity.
