Searching for inspiration for her next novel, Elise subtly manipulates the people closest to her like characters in a book. The sudden return of an old friend challenges just how far she’s willing to go in pursuit of her art.

Sheldon Candis’ ‘THEY FIGHT’ to premiere at Tribeca. Starring Andre Holland, Wendell Pierce, Samira Wiley, Anthony B. Jenkins, Toissaint Francois Battiste and Mykelti Williamson. Recently released from prison, coach Walt Mangian joins a local youth gym to help a ragtag team of adolescent boxers aspiring to a national championship.

So many Black films have been premiering on streaming and it’s bothering me. This is not a jab at any of these films. Just shows how difficult it is to get a Black film in theaters. Also some producers have bought into the idea of mostly making Black films FOR streaming.

There is a lot of great black cinema out there and more to come but people gotta know about it. Just to add a few more black streaming films for people to watch that should of went to theaters:
