We have finally received the #GoldenSpade after meeting @Payback_PS_YatH at Northallerton Cemetery this afternoon. Such a lovely project with amazing work going on by People on Probation! Thank you for having us and officially handing over the spade! #CP50 #CommunityPayback

Whilst we've had a pause from twitter, #UPW staff have been busy passing the golden spade between Probation sites in YatH. Here it is pictured at projects across Bradford & Calder, opening ceremony of #knifeAngel, before being passed onto Leeds at our project with @CanalandRivers

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Community Payback. A series of events are taking place across the country to mark the anniversary, celebrate the work of staff, and highlight the positive impact of projects in local communities.

The figures are in! 75 People on Probation have worked a total of 525 hours during the period of #GBSpringClean Collecting a total of 563 bags of Litter from around #SouthYorkshire @UPW_OpsManager @KeepBritainTidy @Payback_PS_YatH @StavesGlyn @PS_YatH_HeadUPW

Another 11 bags of litter cleared up at North Bradsholme in Hull and a graffiti clear up in Sheffield Park, Scunthorpe by #CommunityPayback teams in Probation Service Yorkshire and the Humber @Payback_PS_YatH Every bag makes a huge difference!

19 #LitterHeroes joined together from Kirklees #CommunityPayback teams, @Kirkleescouncil and people on probation to undertake an all staff event as part of the #GBSpringClean @keepbritaintidy in Walpole and Beaumont Park. No bags today, full skips instead!
