Moderna (mRNA-1273) continues to demonstrate outstanding efficacy, superior neutralizing antibody responses across a wide range of studies, demographics. Remind me again why it's the perennial runner up vaccine.
NEJM@NEJM

In two matched retrospective cohort studies comparing BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273, both were highly effective at preventing hospitalization & death. Breakthrough infections were lower among those who received mRNA-1273 than those who received BNT162b2. nej.md/3qDOcqF

Our family cut out 1323 orange hearts. We have been reflecting on children who never returned home, and on the genocide and loss through colonialism that is a part of Canada's history. Cutting out those hearts was a meditation, on loss and on privilege. Every child matters.

Just read this lovely book about Afghani girls learning how to read in a school bus as there are no schools in their village/camp. A story like this can easily push the narrative of the oppressed Muslim girl. Below is a pic of Afghani women studying medicine in 1962. 1/4

@TMLGAL I know some people in the same situation as yourself and they took their kid to get a Covid test at one of the free asymptomatic clinics before sending them off to the grandparent.

Does anybody know what we are supposed to do about child care if parents can’t work from home? Are they still allowed to drop off a child at their grandparents? And what about parents who are separated and have shared child custody??

@TMLGAL If you and your child have self-isolated for two weeks as a pre-caution and feel that you won’t bring any germs to your parent’s house then yes I would say they could be your child care providers. The thing is you don’t want to bring any possible virus to the grandparents.

Peel teachers have been told by the employer to eat their lunch in their cars because the schools aren’t safe due to COVID. Yesterday, an attempted car-jacking and assault took place in one of our school parking lots. mississauga.com/news-story/103…

So true. I’m a support teacher and we are always covering classes that have no OTs. It’s not our colleagues fault by any means or even admin and they feel guilt for being off because they know one of us is juggling our role, obligations to our students & covering.
Geoff Ruggero@MrRuggero

Adding to the mental strain on educators these days: when we take a day, it's highly likely that we are affecting colleagues in the building who will have to cover our class because there are not enough OTs. #onted

If schools were safe, you wouldn't need to make face shields and goggles mandatory for teachers. If schools were safe, you wouldn't need to force teachers to eat outside of the school. If schools were safe, you wouldn't need to close classrooms and close schools. Enough.
