@Smudger72wig You’re conflating two separate points. I didn’t label every attendee a ‘plastic’ I was commenting on a noticeable shift in the overall atmosphere, which many people observed. You’re taking it personally when you’re clearly not the demographic I was talking about….

@lufcgrace I’ve watched lufc since 80’s priorities change when you get older but i managed to get tickets for me and my daughter. I’m i a plastic? Are the members that let supporters clubs use their membership number even though they don’t go to all the games plastics?

The atmosphere wasn’t ‘it’ yesterday. Too many plastics, people buying their 1st Leeds scarves outside, loads not singing, even people turning up in heels like it’s a day out…It’s frustrating because genuine supporters miss out on these tickets, and in games like that, it shows

Spoke to someone yesterday who paid £450 on a resale site for a ticket, never even been to Elland Road. Then a group of tourists dropping £280 each just to “do” a Wembley Stadium football match on their holiday. Meanwhile actual fans couldn’t get a look in. Game’s gone.

@lufcgrace @AllLoveLeeds The performance caused the atmosphere, not the fans. Exactly the same happens at Elland Road 🤷‍♂️ If the team is looking nervous, it effects the atmosphere. The atmosphere improved massively in the second half.

@lufcgrace It’s not plastic, mixture of young kids starting to go to Leeds games & their parents. Nee generation of fans sadly lacking in wilderness years. One cant claim to be the only fans forever! Whenever a team does better, they attract fans. Not “plastics” unless “big 6” glory hunters

@lufcgrace I don’t know. The vast majority were STH and people who’d been to 8+ games this season. Wembley is terrible for atmosphere. Been 8 times following LUFC and rhinos, and it’s garbage compared to Cardiff

@Scott_skipton That’s the reality for loads of fans, too complicated, too stressful, and then tickets end up elsewhere anyway where people get priced out.

@lufcgrace Id loved to of gone but the whole ticket system does my head in been partially autistic and adhd it really winds me up that I cant figure out how it works, not been in years simply because I cant figure out ticket or ballot stuff

@Dan1clark Fans aren’t the ones driving resale at those prices, let’s be real. And I’m not blaming people who went ‘game’s gone’ is about the system, not individuals.

@AllLoveLeeds There absolutely has been an influx of plastics since the first promotion, and days like yesterday make it pretty obvious.

@lufcgrace I don’t think we suffer from “plastics” apart from winning the championship we’ve won fook all since 1992! Unless they’re a child taken by their parents for first ever game, I very much doubt people were attending their “first” ever Leeds Utd match at Wembley!
