The present moment is revealing people’s true loyalties. The pope is the spiritual father of all Catholics. In a family, even when you disagree with your father, you rally to his defense when he is attacked by an outsider. And if you don’t, there is something very wrong with you.

AI has some limited uses in apologetics. I occasionally use it to suggest sources for research, run arguments by it to find weaknesses, and ask it to check my essays for errors. But the red line for me is that I would NEVER ask it to outright write my materials for me.

I fear that the Future of Apologetics, Polemics and Interfaith will be inundated by those who use AI as a CRUTCH than as a last resort and/or supplemental tool that's used carefully and sparsely. Doing so is and will lead to the Death of Critical Thinking AND Good-faith Dialogue. This is not so dissimilar to the Education woes of the West: They teach you WHAT to Think, not HOW to Think. AI will just be a Catalyst that makes Lazy people even Lazier. Insincere people even Moreso. Even in Da'wah or Fiqh, seeing more & more people rush to AI for Digital-Fatawi by a Non-sentient entity makes me Shudder. The Prophets would frown at how it's being Misused. May Allah help us.

When you outsource your intelligence to an AI app, you stop thinking for yourself, you forsake your ability to remember and recall, you assume the AI is accurate in everything it says.
AI is a useful tool, but that's all it should be.
Today's use of AI reminds me of what happens in the movie Her with Joaquin Phoenix 😬.

Trump just posted an image that seems to portray him as a kind of messianic figure—a “new Jesus,” if you will. It calls to mind how Adolf Hitler also employed messianic imagery, at times depicting himself with divine symbolism—such as a dove bathed in heavenly light descending upon him, reminiscent of the baptism of Jesus Christ—while presenting his leadership as ushering in a new era for Germany. The parallels in how such imagery is used are striking.

One Christian apologist I have a lot of respect for is Dr. @luisdizon.
He's always been kind and *considerate* throughout our friendship, even when we have serious and meaningful debates.
Of course we have our differences but we share a lot more in common. I look forward to what the future brings for the both of us.

He brought the public sacrifice of the mass to an end during COVID.
He portrayed the building of a mammon city in Gaza with a golden statue of himself at the center.
He’s been portrayed on commemorative coins as a new Cyrus next to a temple in Jerusalem.
He’s portrayed himself as the Pope.
Now he portrays himself as Christ miraculously healing some mystery man (which looks creepily like Epstein).
Among a thousand other exhibits of a disturbingly biblical, even eschatological character.
He doesn’t have to be THE Antichrist for all this to be extremely, blatantly, in your face antichristic.
I grieve for the President’s soul.
And out of love for the President’s eternal soul, which is in grave jeopardy, let us pray and do reparation for his sins—particularly his blasphemies against Almighty God—with the hope that he repents and converts.
