Antoine Semenyo is a great FA Cup final winning goalscorer: someone who made his FA Cup debut as a sub away at (now) tenth-tier Met Police (see below), who was part of a proper giantkilling when Newport beat Leicester, and is now the hero at Wembley. ⬇️ nytimes.com/athletic/72846…

@norniron_d1978 @SamDown93 You ever considered just finding a source to prove him wrong rather than just mocking the disabled or is that too much thinking for your thick fucking skull?

@charliekeegan I personally would have liked to have given him another year to prove himself, we know as well as you do that he can be a good league one player. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was pre agreed, likely due to Plym being so far away from where he’s from

@luispafc I was curious to see if Argyle would be impressed enough with his season to try and sort any issues out. But clearly they want a clean break.

Callum Wright listed as “not offered new contract” 👀 This could also mean that Wright has informed Argyle he wouldn’t want to sign a contract anyway. Whoever gets Wright (hopefully, #wafc) are getting a great player. The Latics board need to be pursuing this if finances allow.
Plymouth Argyle FC@Argyle

We can now confirm our retained list for the close season. All departing players leave with our very best regards, and we wish them all well in their futures.

@ArgyleLife1886 Some okay moments but ultimately will be remembered for the countless costly mistakes which could have been the difference getting play offs. My mind still boggles that we signed him after the Braunschweig game, I’m sure we’ll play against him soon and he’ll have a blinder.

Midfielder Michael Baidoo is unlikely to play for Argyle again next season as he doesn’t feel he wants to play in League One. The 26 year old Ghanaian was out on loan at Qatar club Umm Salal this season and his contract with Argyle lasts until 2028. 📝🇬🇭 #pafc

We sign certain players that at first are made out to be nothing special they then have one real good season with us then the whole football pyramid wants to buy them😭😂😂 standard #pafc

🚨Lincoln are admirers of Bim Pepple ahead of the summer window. He has a release clause leaving Plymouth vulnerable. Norwich, Watford and Portsmouth are amongst multiple clubs interested, with clubs willing to triple his wage. [Simon Jones - @MailSport] #WeAreImps | #Imps

@mz_bosnia @AlbzSFC Either way I think we could have understood him leaving to a championship club, he’s too good for League One. But we had just brought in all his staff and restructured the board to suit him. However I think in a few years time we can look back and be proud he once represented us

@luispafc @AlbzSFC Surely. I'd be the same. But it doesn't mean he would jump any ship coming for him. I think if some club from Championship wanted him, bottom half, etc., he would have rejected it.

@mz_bosnia @AlbzSFC I agree the move made a lot of sense, and Schalke are much bigger than we’ll ever be. But I think any football fan whose passionate about their club would have reacted no differently to us

@luispafc @AlbzSFC I think when he promised to stay, he really wanted it. Just he did not expect a club like Schalke will come in for him, one of the biggest clubs in Germany, closer to his family, the club with 6th most members in the world football.
