Just completed Margaret's event last night and I think why chief gets so rattled is because margaret and shin are Very similar in the way they talk about 'children' and 'potential'. Even in their manipulative ways, they are actually sincere to their own goal which they think-

@lukasdiangelo speaker of all things. Lowkey there's also the whole thing about Margaret being lucifer and that playing into their dynamic but i digress i'll release that analysis at a later date.

@Korichi_Celeste ok now i have thoughts on that too like i know chief's past as a straightjacket criminal shut in a dark cell influences chief's feelings on autonomy, that along with the 'gods' and humans both playing with her, she has some Issues TM

@Korichi_Celeste the parallelism of shin and emily with margaret and linda... Shin did care about emily and also held all her crewmates in high regard but her lack of empathy deleivers her love in a twisted way which chief accepts. but with Margaret its the apposite, there is no concern for linda

@lukasdiangelo omg i've been thinking they were a tad similar for ages i knew it wasn't just me...Like i'd argue that at the very least Shin's intentions were less selfish given she genuinely thinks evolution to be for the best whereas Margaret is a very self-centred control freak but still
