@Sarrvatore It won’t. We can barely play ps4 games as of now. PS3 emulator took years, although the ps3 architecture was harder to replicate. Don’t expect anything mean for until a few years.

@TimoTweetss Ok hold on. AC Odyssey was a huge success and it was the 6th highest score on metacritic in the franchise and the only in the RPG era to score that high. 7th place is shadows. Syndicate had a huge issue because the formula was worn out at that point.

as much as I enjoyed both games, i hope this is Ubisoft’s sign to stop making Quebec make assassins creed.
they’ve proven with all 3 games (odyssey, syndicate and shadows) that they DON’T want to make AC games & that their writing quality is just not the level the franchise needs…
i think Montreal and Bordeaux should be the main heads of the franchise from now on, Quebec should be put on other stuff…

@_Chrysalia @Ludvicus I guess the main difference is the scope and dynamic lighting. Most pre-Ray tracing games had very limited times of day so you’d have the same presentation throughout the entire game. Even a game like horizon forbidden west looks outdated when you look closely.

@Ludvicus Because these games have their own proprietary engines dedicated to them that use baked lighting, which tend to look much nicer than widely outsourced engines like Unreal Engine.
That's why games like NFS 2015, MGS5, Infamous Second Son, Killzone etc. Look so good today

Honest question, how is a 12 year old game absolutely mogging modern games in terms of graphics and lightning??
This shit isnt even demanding, yet new games require a 4080 to run at 60fps performance mode and yet still look like a potatoe

@Junksterrr Cause games, unlike movies, are a collaborative type of art. The game was made but the way you play is your own art. And so modding it is also part of playing the game in a way that you find it more pleasing
