WHY CHOOSE TONALI OVER BALEBA?
Both of them are good CDMs but Tonali is more aggressive, more composed, fine tackles and aerial duels, and you rarely see him tired… he will run 120 minutes and still be angry for more. He is a leader.. you need leaders on pitch, not only the captain.
Tonali has a little attacking aspect in his style, Baleba is 100% defensive. In this era, you need someone who can defend and score goals at the same time.

@NoushardMUFC I agree with you, job security should be a motivation factor, whenever the player knows that they have to perform to be kept longer, they will worker harder, but if they know, they have a contract for many years no matter the performance, don’t expect a lot from them

Cole Palmer had the potential to become the next Bruno Fernandes.
Right now?
That feels far off.
Since signing that 7+1-year contract at Chelsea, things have slowly gone sideways.
Commitment is good.
But contracts that long can also trap a player in instability.
And Chelsea have been anything but stable.
More than 5 managers in the last 3–4 years.
Different systems. Different demands. Different ideas.
For a young player still developing, that matters. A lot.
I’d love Palmer at Man United.
But with that contract, the transfer fee would be absurd.
Unless there’s a hidden release clause somewhere.
Or one that activates later.
Otherwise, Chelsea hold all the power.

Leão is open to a move and holds high respect for Old Trafford, but he is still assessing all his options and will not make a commitment at this stage.
