@metoffice don’t know which North West you were just talking about on @BBCRadio4 but it’s definitely not “in the high to mid teens” here 😅😮‍💨

Thanks for the resources @andysmanclubuk I work with men with complex mental health diagnoses who have been in and out of services for a long time. Non-clinical intervention are very important. Spaces to learn & relate to others are key to building protective support networks.

@MindCharity That we can “fix” our mental health like we can set a broken arm. Mental health requires us to learn and understand, to be understood and to be kind to ourselves. Good mental health is experiencing both ups and downs but having ways to protect us getting overwhelmed during either

An often difficult group to engage service users on. However, it was great to see that despite different individual journeys, lots of similar themes kept cropping up. A great teaching point that we are not alone in our struggles. Consent was gained to share the picture

Our Substance Misuse Group yesterday had several service users contribute some great insight. We were learning to weigh up pros/cons for change, & how (perceived) benefits/barriers to making change impact decisions. We rated impact 1-4 (4 = most important). Consent was gained.

@HHP_offical Hey Holly, thanks for your thoughts here! When you say stages, do you mean say "ticking" off certain things week by week/by each "thing" that needs checking off? How would you have preferred the intervals or stages to have happened?

@luke__meakin As someone with lived experience I feel especially informal patients don't have as much support as those who are sectioned post discharge. I feel like discharge planning could be potentially done in stages to help regain independence for the 'outside' world. So it's not a big

I work in #mentalhealth services. I think we are not doing a good enough job in preparing people for discharge and regaining their independence. I have questions for those with lived experience, and anyone else with any thoughts. #nhs #inpatient #Psychiatry #Psychology cont.

The best people to ask, are those of you who have been in contact with #MHservices. You all have lived experience that can and will improve the way in which we think about mental health, and how we carry out mental health interventions.

Finally, I greatly appreciate anyone who has the time to answer. As an assistant psychologist, I am limited by what I can ‘do’ without my formal qualifications. However, this does not, or should not, stop me from asking “what else can we do?”.
