There are going to be some crazyyyyy conversations about this tomorrow across hockey media. It’s easy to guess that it completely crossed the goal line, but there’s definitely no way you can tell for sure based on Jarry’s skate.

Uh Oh: A guy went OFF on a bar owner after he switched Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show to the Turning Point USA halftime show on every screen at the bar. We have never seen anything like this... 😬😬😬

Mastering to -14lufs for streaming was bad advice. Anyone still doing this, time to rethink that process.

@djpain1 @fuckMWP @ProducerWhisp Absolutely, but every producer/artist should also still know the ins and outs of the deal. That’s how you get screwed. I’ve seen it happen a bunch of times.

@djpain1 @ProducerWhisp Yes but especially with majors, they will pay the same fee each time once you’ve been imported into their system (ex. uniport).

@StewartTuttle The bottom of it actually needs the space more. Was just with the maker of the Avalon and he told me to put the space on the bottom.

@THESIMPLETOM @natemixing Got it, with my limited knowledge on the subject I think that makes sense. Any recommendations to help logic work at maximum efficiency? I got a Mac Studio with m2 and I’ve been very disappointed with its performance.

🎚 What is oversampling? What does x2, x4 mean? Basically oversampling forces the plugin to process the sound in higher sample rate. ℹ️ Example: You run a session in 48.0k Oversampling 2x means that the sound will be processed in a sample rate 2x more than your session. In that case, it will be 96.0k ⁉️ Why is that important? First of all, you need to know, that the highest frequency in your frequency range that you work with in your session equals half of your sample rate. 48000/2 = 24000 Hence, at 48.0k you have 0-24000hz range to work with. How is it related to oversampling? Shortly speaking, you reduce unwanted distortion that happens when you want to saturate your sound but the range you have is not enough to create new harmonics and they start to mirror back into the audible range, sounding dirty. By increasing the frequency range, these harmonics will mirror back to non-audible range and allow your audio to sound more clean. Let's take our example. With 2x oversampling, or 96.0k sample rate, you will have 0-48000 hz range to operate with, hence more headroom in the spectrum to create new harmonics, leaving a cleaner sound in audible range. Of course it will require additional CPU since the plugin needs to process 2x more information. That's why using oversampling is more efficient than running the whole session in 96.0 khz. Just using it where it's really needed. ℹ️ Use oversampling on plugins that introduce saturation, including analog modeled EQs and compressors.

@hate6ix Multiband compressor with a high shelf could help. A little saturation can help smooth out the vocal and fit it in the mix better. Otherwise just use a subtractive high shelf eq.

What do you do when your vocals is too crisp to sit on the beat I feel like just cutting the highs is not doing it. Must be another way
