@Jamie_rdfc To be clear, the consistency point isn’t just in relation to observers, it goes much wider than that! I’m sure I’ll be at Hayden road soon, more than happy to have a chat over a beer in the bar after the game! 🍻⚽️

@luketscott Fans would stop asking for consistency??? Hahaha. I really don't think they will Luke 😄 Officials would get far less verbals if they WERE consistent and didn't alter the way they ref just because they're being watched.

Can consistency be achieved? 🤔 We always hear supporters in the stands asking for officials to be consistent, but that can't always be the case. @luketscott delves into the reasons on our newest episode, which you can listen now! #TNF

@Jamie_rdfc I agree that’s what everyone asks for, but they’ll soon stop asking for it if it was to be delivered. No game is consistent, and an approach to a high temperature game will not work in a more routine game, it will just cause more frustrations on all sides.

@luketscott But that is what us fans, players, managers , coaches , owners want to see, CONSISTENCY. In my opinion referees should 100% be giving the same consistency for every game, regardless of who's observing them!

@Jamie_rdfc This goes back to the point around consistency we discussed in the same episode. No game is the same, and no approach to management of those games will be the same. Inflexibility in approach will be detrimental to everyone’s experience. Appreciate the discussion!

@luketscott That baffles me to be honest. Surely your decisions during play should be consistent and within the rules of the game regardless of who's watching?

@Jamie_rdfc As I said, not having an observer allows a more management based approach, or as some might say, a more common sense approach. With less than 30% of games being covered by an observer at steps 3&4, refs will likely be more strict in application of law when being observed.

@luketscott That doesn't really answer my question? You said on the pod that when you're being observed/accessed, you ref in a different way. My question was simply, In what way do you referee differently? I just don't understand that statement, hence my question.

@Jamie_rdfc If you speak to most managers, they will testify that they prefer when a ref isnt being observed as it allows a more flexible approach to officiating. Most wont call this a “ridiculous thing to say”, just confirming perceptions. May not be right but thats the system currently.

@matthammersmith @missLpagey Hi Lisa, As I’ve always said to any one involved in the league, I’m happy to chat to people about their problems & opinions. However, not sure where you got the information that they were awarded all wins for their games at the end of last season. Misinformation isn’t helpful.

@missLpagey It’s a joke, was chatting to a diamonds guy earlier I said if I was in that league I’d be rallying everyone together to approach the league to remove them atleast then you can make plans rather than hearing Friday or in our case Sat morning there not playing you

Nice to see Long Buckby starting the season as they mean to go on. In April Bowie will have been playing 5 years, she’s not played them once, she’s never missed a match. Suppose the league will give them all wins again for all the matches they don’t play 🤦🏼‍♀️

@kevinboor54 Absolutely atrocious decision last night Kev. You won’t embarrass them though. The @forrefssake boys will be backing it as a correct decision. Once again confirming that referees have completely no understanding of football.

Can the FA insist that we don’t have VAR ruining the FA Cup. If it’s not available in all grounds then it shouldn’t be in the competition at all. The greatest cup competition should be played by the same rules in the whole competition

@forrefssake @cogenhoeunited The ref thinks he had 57,000 Luke Scott’s in the crowd watching him today, that’s the problem Nobody pays to watch a referee run around Yet apparently referees are the most important part of the game. No ref no game apparently 🤣🤣🤣
