@hackernews here is the full video, I forgot to turn my mic on for the full build, so I had to narrate over it.

@SIGKITTEN i might expect a brightness slider here to change it after the fact. currently I have to re-select a photo to edit the brightness.

@SIGKITTEN the brightness or opacity settings for the wallpaper doesn't seem to 'save'

Introducing Litter beta - Codex (and soon, others) for Android (and iOS) Always free and open-source Litter runs codex natively on the device and you can also use it as a remote, without the need to install anything on your remote computer. It connects over ssh and starts a codex app-server for you, all from your phone. Works over local network and Tailscale/VPN. It has background notifications (for iOS, soon android too) and live view so the remote connections works while locked in your pocket and you get a notification when turns are done. Tons of other features - themes - realtime voice that is aware of your remote servers and sessions and can run tasks for you on them - Generative UI (like claude) - (Experimental) IPC connection that will sync with your codex app running on your computers seamlessly Get it from TestFlight and Google Play beta kittylitter.app

ANOTHER NIT - In a session the native status bar is transparent and you can see the wallpaper. however in the 'info' sections it adopts the same colour as the bg colour. slightly breaks the continuity of the input box, I would just have it be a solid colour the same as the rest of the input area.

@SIGKITTEN 3. NIT - The delete toast opens on the other side of the screen not next to the doner menu button.

@SIGKITTEN 1. each new tap of the realtime microphone button results in a new 'untitled' session. 2. Deleting one untitled session deletes them all and the app tends to crash/exit

@SIGKITTEN inside of a chat session a native back gesture results in minimisation of the app instead of an in app backwards navigation.

@antiflasher if I can't find the the symbol I am looking for I often resort to the verb that defines it. I would try close or exit after the normal terms here.

That’s actually funny. What do you guys call this icon — a cross, an “X,” or something else?

This is how platforms die (not that Copilot was such a good product): first they’re helpful, then they start abusing you for their own growth. Microsoft has no shame

i am solo designer at a company and one of our mobile products has been in development for years. some code is in front of figma and some figma is in front of code. some of these figma files are split by feature names instead of 1 god file. what I would like to know is if the new figma agents/mcp would allow the reverse of what it mostly presents. can I reverse flutter code into a design system or can I collect repetitive concepts from multiple figma files and turn them into real components and design system. this is an issue at smaller scale with individuals with multiple roles that don't have the time to maintain a solid design system and are required to ship quickly. cc @figma @zoink

early results are in, seems possible. although rather slow. prompt was given the direct link to 'zones' & 'controls' and asked to extract repetitions and defaults into a design system with variables and components.
