People are unable to just play what they like. Everything online feels like a You vs Us endless battle. It's like console wars but more lame and less funny.

"Larp" is the most annoying buzzword I've read yet in the last 5 years.

@pacificodaniel1 @ShitpostRock2 A WoW sub back then was 13€ a month for a game that was on the lower-end for computers to run, playable for years without having to buy any new games. WoW was the perfect game to play when you grew up poor, you have no concept of what poor people did or played back then.

I don't care about Avatar but Avatar Legends looks dope and it will be one of the rare new fighting game that doesn't insult its players with a battle pass. 100% playing that on launch

I have zero nostalgia for Resident Evil 4. I played both the original and the remake for the first time this year, and honestly, the new one feels like a mockery of the original. I felt insulted by it and RE4 isn’t even one of my favorite games.

Mastery #44 on RetroAchievements for Magical Drop 2 (SNES)! The controls were super clunky but for an arcade port it was pretty good! Lots of mods, I still think none of those puzzle-type games even come close to Tetrs!

Well, that escalated quickly. There’s been a wave of claims by cheaters about Vanguard “bricking” their PCs, so let’s clear that up: Vanguard does not damage hardware or disable your devices. The photo we posted is a picture of cheat hardware devices that are sold explicitly for cheating in VALORANT (not normal PCs or PC components). Through our latest updates, Vanguard now makes those devices worthless for VAL, but does not in any way brick PCs or PC components or PC software. Our latest update enforces standard platform security features, like the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU), on accounts identified as using Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheating devices. These protections are already part of modern systems and when enabled, they block DMA cheat devices (such as those shown in the photo) from accessing memory in downstream applications, like our games. If a cheat setup continues attempting to cheat after those protections are enabled, the system may generate hardware faults or instability. This is expected behavior under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory. Disabling IOMMU allows the cheat device to function again, but IOMMU will still be required to play our games. This means the cheat device won’t work with our games, but your PC isn’t “bricked.” We would not, and cannot, impact your PC’s functionality in any other fashion. This functionality only applies to systems attempting to use DMA cheat devices, and players who are not using DMA-based cheat setups are not affected. We’ll keep investing in anti-cheat to protect competitive integrity, and we’ll keep being as transparent as possible about how those systems work.

Mastery #43 on RetroAchievements for Super C (NES)! I enjoy this game more than the first one, probably because the hangars were always garbage to play through and the top down stages in this one are pretty quick! The game is more aggressive too!

I wish twitter had a button that would allow me to hide every post about vtubers or from vtubers. I'm glad more people are waking up to the fact that those people are just cam whores with an anime aesthetic slapped on.

Mastery #42 on RetroAchievements for Castlevania (NES)! I enjoyed the set, forced you to learn the game completely in different ways!

I took a break from RA because I was disappointed with the website but I'll grind back at full speed after tomorrow. On the other hand I've read all of Koori no Jouheki and I'm disgusted by the mangaka. Reading this was not just a waste of time but infuriating too. Fuck them.

Mastery #41 on RetroAchievements for Contra! I found those achievements pretty bad and boring... I plan to make a video at some point about RA and this game will be a good example of what I believe are bad sets!

Mastery #40 on RetroAchievements for Zanac (NES)! I don't remember much about this series except that every game in them are just fun to launch and play! Kind of give me a pce/grafx shmup era vibe too!

Mastery #39 on RetroAchievements for Gradius (NES)! I liked this set! Forced you to go for 2-ALL, no option and no laser run! A good introduction to the darius/gradius/r-type era

Mastery #38 on RetroAchievements for nnnnnn! A full VVVVVV NES/SNES homebrew would be so great!

Mastery #37 on RetroAchievements for Abadox! I think this was the first shmup I ever did a 1cc for! It is definitely punishing in a similar way as R-Type, which I kind of like! Recovering from a death is fun! I managed to softlock myself once too on the last boss!

Mastery #36 on RetroAchievements for Darius Gaiden! I used to really like this game but the more I played it, the more bored I am of it... But the vibes of the game/series are super good! Fighting unique fish-like mecha bosses with such a unique soundtrack is great!

Mastery #35 on RetroAchievements for Ridge Racer! First time playing this series! And it was so much fun! This game had a lot of vibe and taking corners felt incredibly fun! I hate most racing games so I was surprised that I would like this game THAT much!

Mastery #34 on RetroAchievements for Outpost in the Dragon's Maw! This one is interesting! Tower defense + Bejeweled, it's pretty addicting! After being disappointed by a lot of the arduboy games, I'll go back to non homebrew games for a while!
