Well I have sold about 600 copies so far. I just re-read it and was surprised how bitter it is.
It does kind of say that on the cover. Some readers love it but others clearly do not get it at all. I think its the country vs townie split 😆😆
Mmm... I am not expecting this to be a best seller. I am finding it very hard to find my own book. I can only find it on Kindle or Amazon by searching for the exact title. 🤣🤣
Although the book is a kind of a memoir, it doesn’t need to have a face to go with it. You do not need to know exactly who it is or where they live. It is about the different angles that the farm type of life has, and I have tried to write about the untold elements
Before my book is released, I would just like to make it known that I have used a pen name. I have mainly done this because I am a bit of an introvert. I did not want to use my family name because it would then effectively involve my family (who have had no part in the book)
I was offered contribution-based contracts from three different publishers so it can not be all that bad. I was too tight to fork out a couple of thousand pounds so used the free KDP to publish it.
(if it is received at all)
It does contain many of my niggles from inside and outside farming but please read all of it, It is not about putting farmers down, it tries to explain why farmers are different from the townies. It shows farming life from many different angles.
I am the author of 'Confessions of a Grumpy Farmer', the life and times of a bitter old bugger and how he got there' and I am learning how to Tweet
At the time of this tweet, I have not yet published the book on KDP
I am slightly nervous about how the book will be received
