I am saddened to learn of the passing of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Vice President Cheney was a devoted public servant, from the halls of Congress to many positions of leadership in multiple presidential administrations. His passing marks the loss of a figure who, with a strong sense of dedication, gave so much of his life to the country he loved.
Doug and I are keeping Lynne, their daughters Liz and Mary, and the entire Cheney family in our thoughts during this difficult time.

@postoctobrist I don't really care about brands, but I went OLED 6-ish years ago and cannot go back. Black levels matter more to me than anything so that's where I'm staying until someone invents something better.

@postoctobrist People crow on about how TVs kept getting cheaper but like, that’s not really the case. The quality of even the cheaper TVs does rise over time but any actually good quality ones are still just as expensive as they were before.

Not a boomer, but … those metal machines for drying hands in public restrooms. They are horribly loud and it takes them forever to dry your hands. They also don’t provide the warmth and comfort that paper towels do.
