@JamesPearceLFC Does no one else think this is just a carefully planned PR stunt pulled from the Ronaldo playbook to cash in on a Saudi contract while he’s still worth something?

Mohamed Salah’s frustration is understandable after recent months, but that doesn’t excuse his decision to go nuclear.
Heaping more negativity on the club and the manager during such a difficult period is both selfish & disrespectful. What a mess.

@iMiaSanMia @SZ Three new signings offset by five more injuries

Uli Hoeneß at last night's DFL gala: "We have three 'new signings' who will strengthen the team from November: Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Itō" [via @SZ]

🚨🛑 In the past 24 hours, and following the temporarily failed transfer of Nick Woltemade, an internal plan has been made: Max Eberl is to focus on loan deals until Deadline Day.
A move for Christopher #Nkunku is therefore currently very difficult to realise despite the agreement Bayern/Nkunku. As #CFC have once again made it clear: only permanent deal. All parties are frustrated — Nkunku, Eberl, Freund, and Kompany.
As reported on our show tonight: RB Leipzig are still in the race. Talks with Chelsea were never broken off. More teams are keen on him. Not only Leipzig. @SkySportDE 🇫🇷

Before the Club World Cup, Bayern agreed that Serge Gnabry would stay at the club and enter the final year of his contract, despite having played a poor last season. Bayern officials see Gnabry's versatility as a plus, as he can be deployed on both wings, behind the striker and even as a Kane backup. Gnabry is happy to take on the competition and is also important for the team spirit in the dressing room as he gets along well with everyone [@kessler_philipp, @hannalein3]

@Leon___10 A great line-up with literally no depth. Also extremely old. Bayern is becoming Inter Milan.
English

@iMiaSanMia Business as usual. The budget matters more than winning at Bayern.

Max Eberl on whether injuries will have an influence on the squad planning/transfers: "When we do our squad planning, we take into consideration what happened last season. We don't want to use injuries as an excuse for all results, but what we learned from last season is that we don't have to do a lot for the 2025/26 season. We definitely want to adjust things, but in our opinion, if we had a full squad, we have the feeling that we would've beaten Inter and advanced further. The quality that we missed on the pitch [due to injuries] hurt us. Especially the way these injuries happened, most were 'freak' injuries and not regular muscle injuries. We don't have to complain, we want to look ahead. But we don't have to react and sign a player after every injury. We want to make some adjustments and hopefully the injured players (Davies, Musiala, Itō) are back in October/November and towards the end of the first half of the season"

@iMiaSanMia Has he ever tried dribbling around the keeper even once?

Max Eberl flew back to Europe where he will continue to work on possible transfers there and meet his respective negotiating partners in person. There's no fixed date for his return to the US – even if Bayern reach the round of 16 or quarter-finals. Over the past few days, Eberl had conducted various talks from the team hotel in Orlando. Phone calls, video calls, emails, and more—which wasn't an easy task given the six-hour time difference to Europe. Now priorities are shifting, as some discussions have progressed to the point where in-person meetings are necessary. In this respect, the next transfer could soon be on the cards [@StefanKumberger, @SPORT1]

Nice to see #Vimeo finally updated their AppleTV app, 3 years after they abandoned it. Talk about a stupid decision.
English

@iMiaSanMia He doesn’t believe he can reach those bonuses on good performances. I don’t blame him.

Leroy Sané is not interested in a move to Tottenham. Arsenal would be his favourite destination in England. As of now, the most concrete offers are from Saudi Arabia and Galatasaray. Sané has intensively considered a potential move to Galatasaray. The player would ideally prefer to stay at Bayern, but he's still unwilling to accept the offer at the table. From Bayern's perspective, the door is still open - as long as he didn't receive a better offer, he can sign the extension. If Sané ends up extending, there would be no urgent need for a big name signing on the wing [@altobelli13]

@DaltonRoss Survivor: Loyalty Island is easily one of the most boring seasons but it’s also hard to fault them for coasting till the end. It’s also hilarious how they hijacked David’s plan without David.

It's almost that time. Updated #Survivor season rankings coming next week. Where would you rank #Survivor48 so far among NEW ERA seasons?
