@boston25 It’s not even that they can’t afford it now. They look down the road and see that there is NO FUTURE here. MBTA Communities law will destroy the “good” school districts and send property taxes into lunar orbit. And gas heating “delivery charges” will wipe out any savings.

Japan was the first time I understood what a "High Trust Society" looked like. It comes down to a homogeneous culture and people bound by a cohesive social fabric. Which doesn't exist in America.
