@UZAmbassador Would it be Kıble Tazebağ Sarayı Mimarlık Kompleksi on Yandex?
Türkçe

@lunchforone It’s about 1 km southwest of the Ichan Qala & is open daily from 9am - 5pm.
English

@UZAmbassador any idea where to find the Kibla Tozabog Palace in Khiva? Not sure if the google map link is the right one and if it’s really possible to visit?
English

@lunchforone The trading domes in Bukhara will have a lot of both - just feel it to make sure it is cotton not synthetic
English

@UZAmbassador loving our time in Samarkand and now Bukhara - any great recommendations to shop for a scarf or a cotton traditional robe? (Not too expensive)
English

@UZAmbassador We are heading to Fergana valley before our last full day in Tashkent - so def plan to look for those stuffed fruits at the market (and some pottery) & will check out teplo store
English

@lunchforone Hair salons: ask at your hotels for the best ones locally. Definitely go to Teplo Store whilst you’re in Tashkent for Central Asian fashion designers. Human House has great gifts. Bring back dried fruits & nuts. The pistachios& apricots stuffed with walnuts & raisins are fab.
English

@UZAmbassador counting down until we arrive in Uzbekistan! Any recommendations for a good hair salon ?local brands and shops? And any food to buy to bring back?
English

@UZAmbassador Thanks! There is sadly no arrow for the travel direction - but guess the train is heading left out of the station (so single seats would be on the left) , so will go for those probably
English

@lunchforone The Ozbekiston train is fairly new but not high speed. VIP & biz class are most comfortable. There are mountains on both side of the line as the track is in the bottom of the valley, but views are probably best to the left in that direction of travel.
English

@UZAmbassador would it be worth to get 1A tickets for the Tashkent to kokand train? Or which side of the train has the better view / seats in direction of travel?
English

@UZAmbassador Thanks for the offer - but if a destination isn’t responding to inquiries on different levels it’s not something I want to work with, so going to showcase it self organized and maybe not in the way they would prefer (that it’s still a struggle for independent travel)

One of the best parts of my role is arranging press trips for journalists to discover Uzbekistan. If you’ve got a confirmed commission or are pitching for one, get in touch to discuss story angles & potential trip support. #presstrip

@tegralis_roger Also nicht die klassische Arbeitergruppe vermutlich? Würde es dem Land aber wünschen
Deutsch

@lunchforone Nun, wie man das bewertet ist natürlich auch eine Funktion der eigenen Lebenssituation.
Kollegen sind optimistisch, denke aber aufgrund ihrer Lebensumstände wahrscheinlich nicht repräsentativ.

@UZAmbassador Thanks so much (the new edition of the guidebook is sadly probably to late with a 25th departure day) - we only care about great local food and not so much about the views ;)
English

@lunchforone In Samarkand, Oriental Sweets is very close to the Registan - it’s a former caravanserai. In Bukhara, Zeytoon is the best restaurant; in Khiva, the best view is from Terrassa Cafe, but try also to eat shivit oshi, green noodles coloured with dill, as that’s a local delicacy.
English

@UZAmbassador any restaurant & tea house recommendations for local cuisine in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent and kokand?
English

@frankfeil Zieht sich leider durch in BaWü -hier in LK teilweise auch so hohe Ergebnisse 😤
Deutsch

@UZAmbassador would you have any recommendations on who to use in Samarkand to use for an airport transfer & a tour to the seven lakes across the border?
English

@Finnair is there any option to add rail & fly to any flight? It doesn’t work if I use the QYG code in the flight search
English

@sim3744 Doubt it was at 10 am since no car lights are needed at that time, looks a lot earlier
English

@UZAmbassador Thanks! We are thinking of doing 2 daytrips from Samarkand and think of moving one day from Khiva to Buchara - thought about Nukus but the drive is too long for my mom who isn‘t interest in the museum
English

@lunchforone This looks great! I’d do 3 days in Samarkand then spend the extra day in the Nuratau Mountains, experiencing community-based tourism in a village; or drive from Khiva via the fortresses to Nukus for the Savitsky Museum & fly from Nukus to Tashkent.
English

@UZAmbassador trying to finalize our end of April trip - would you change anything?
Arrival in Samarkand (4 full days), train to Buchara (3n), private transfer with fortress, Khiva (3n), flight to Tashkent and Fergana valley (2n), Tashkent (2n). Wondering if Khiva is too long?
