TVET Colleges should ALL be FREE. The argument is simple👇🏿
If an overwhelming majority of TVET college students are NSFAS eligible and funded, why does government need so many layers of funding distribution?
If government is serious about efficiency, a decision must immediately be taken to make all TVET colleges FREE.
Young people should simply walk in and register, without any financial and/or bureaucratic hurdles.

Sizwe Dhlomo bids farewell to Kaya 959’s #SizTheWorld show Renowned broadcaster and media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has announced on air that he is leaving Kaya 959’s popular breakfast show, Siz The World, bringing an end to a chapter that helped redefine the station’s morning radio offering. Dhlomo made the emotional announcement during the show, confirming that his time at Kaya 959 is coming to an end, although he stopped short of revealing where he is headed next. Since officially taking over the breakfast slot in 2023, Dhlomo became the driving force behind Siz The World, a show that blended current affairs, lifestyle debates, business conversations and sharp social commentary with music and humour. Dhlomo’s radio career stretches back more than a decade and has seen him become one of South Africa’s most recognisable broadcasting voices. Before Kaya 959, he built a loyal audience at YFM, where he co-hosted alongside Scoop Makhathini, before moving to 947 and later 702. In 2020, Kaya 959 announced him as the new host of Kaya Drive before eventually shifting him to breakfast radio with Siz The World. Long before dominating radio, Dhlomo first rose to fame after winning MTV Base’s first-ever VJ Search in 2005, becoming one of the channel’s earliest African stars and later transitioning into television presenting and talk radio. You can evacuate all undocumented African foreign nationals tomorrow. Their absence won’t create room for more jobs nor end crime. Their absence won’t stop our fathers, uncles, brothers, cousins from abusing, raping and killing women and children. Their absence won’t curb alcoholism, gambling and drug addiction. Their absence won’t stop the drug cartels from moving drugs in and around the country. Their absence won’t create jobs. Their absence won’t improve the quality of public education. Their absence won’t revive the decaying infrastructure. Their absence won’t fix the death traps that are most of our roads. Their absence won’t fix the maladministration at local government . It is the state that must be held accountable. Direct your anger to the state. Hold your political representatives in government accountable. Stop spreading hate and stop inciting violence! And stop allowing legitimate concerns and societal frustrations to be used to the benefit of those who are well funded by Apartheid Israel to destabilise the country.
I reference African nationals because they are your easy target. Seemingly you are the least perturbed by the undocumented and documented Portuguese, Greek, Chinese, Italian and Europeans who roam these streets free, with some being notorious for being the kingpins of all kinds of illicit trades. Niya be saba bona.
