Either that, or they keep or separate/label it to inspect later.

Tennessee is great, but here's my advice. Live in Tennessee between Nashville and either the Kentucky or Alabama border. Preferably in a small community. This way you are close enough to go to Nashville everyday if you want, you pay no income tax, but you get lower sales tax by doing your shopping in Kentucky or Alabama. And if in a smaller town, real estate is cheaper.
